We saved our Annual and Long Service Leave and applied for an 8 month escape from both our workplaces in Melbourne. Our past vacations have usually included a tent or a camper trailer but I unashamedly nudged (perhaps grovelled) for a self contained caravan. We now have 238 easy-going days to travel and explore Australia at a leisurely pace but more importantly we have 238 days of no accountability, no commitments and no alarm clocks.
This is my happy place. I absolutely love the neutral colour scheme and generous space in our caravan. Dave is quite tall and only a handful of caravans allowed enough headspace to not cause continual concussion. I’ve enjoyed decorating the van and creating extra practical storage space.
