Daylesford (VIC) – Walks – Tipperary Springs to Bryces Flat

“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt” – John Muir

This track is not hard but it’s definitely a track. Some parts are quite narrow and close to steep slopes but it’s not strenuous. Take your time and you’ll spot many old diggings from the gold rush era. Just walk slowly, watch your step and immerse yourself in the natural bush spirit and sounds.

As shown above this track narrows in some parts.

This would have to be one of my favourite walks this year. You get the feeling that you’re quite isolated whilst walking as there are no houses or roads visible through the bush. We did not pass anyone walking except when we crossed over the river at the stepping stones halfway so you can really disengage and breathe in the country air.

The old stone in the boot conundrum 🥴

We parked at Tipperary Springs Picnic Area, walked across the footbridge and found the walking track. Make sure to take the correct track. https://walkingmaps.com.au/walk/3710

The track follows the river.
You can cross over the stepping stones as shown below to return.
