We aim to spend most of our time discovering Western Australia however we spent a few weeks following South Australia’s stunning “Seafood Frontier” coastline and stayed in the towns of Wallaroo, Whyalla, Coffin Bay & Streaky Bay.
The Wallaroo Jetty extends out 870 meters into water that is 10 metres deep. Groups of dolphins hang around the jetty annoying the fishermen as they try to steal their catch. I could have watched them all day, we shall dolphinately return.😆👍

Cars can access the foreshore at Wallaroo. My first drive on a beach…woo hoo!👍

We rode the Rotary Copper Trail from Wallaroo to Kadina – about 28kms round trip.🚴♀️🚴

Wallaroo, Kadina and Moonta Bay are know as the Copper Triangle or “Little Cornish” due to the migration of many Cornwall Copper Miners from 1861. Therefore we had to try the Cornish Pasties.😋👍

The Moonta Mines Museum showcased a very interesting Australian- Cornish mining history. These were tough times even for the teachers. Below is an example of Rules for Teachers in 1872.🥴

We continued through small unspoilt coastal towns. Each with its own unique jetty and foreshore. Port Germein’s jetty is 1.5 kms which makes it the longest wooden pier in the Southern Hemisphere.😮

A one night stopover at Whyalla gave us time to wander along the beach to the circular jetty and welcome the most memorable sunrise.
