I realised as I was compiling this post just how much ground we covered in a single day. We started at the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk which is a suspended walking bridge that gives you a bird’s eye view of some of the biggest tingle trees on Earth.

40 metres high
Magnificent forest
We also had fun in the forest at ground level on the Ancient Empire Walk which takes you around and through towering veteran trees, some over 400 years old and only found in Australia’s South West.
Grandma Tingle was so named because of her gnarled and wrinkled appearance. I’m not sure how grandmas feel about this description.🥴😆

Can you see the face?
We drove to Mount Frankland National Park and chose the more challenging but short hike to the summit. We have often climbed stairs but this is the first time we have had to climb ladders. After some huffing and puffing we finally reached the top and were rewarded with massive views across the Walpole Wilderness.

Fun ladder climb
Good paths👍
Last few steps to the top
Walpole Wilderness
We continued through the picturesque Karri Forests and came upon Swarbrick, a 500m walking loop featuring art exhibits which are designed to challenge your perception of the wilderness.💚

Stunning Drives
We also drove out to Conspicuous Cliff and walked along the boardwalk and up to the lookouts to find remarkable views.
We stayed at the Coalmine Beach Caravan Park and lots of wild life could be found throughout the park. This area is perfectly described as ‘where the forest meets the water’.

Galahs
Kangaroos
And another Galah😆❤️
How lucky are we!🙏 After everything we had experienced that day we then got to relax on this beach with a glass of wine and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Cheers!🥂
