Dongara – Port Denison (WA)

Situated on the Coral Coast the twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison are divided by the Irwin River which meanders between the two. This area is famous for Rock Lobster, however we decided to try some fresh snapper.

The views whilst walking around here constantly change as you can choose to walk along the beach, around the marina or beside the river.

As you walk down Ocean Drive the Anzac Memorial captures the hardships of war. The silhouetted soldiers with the ocean backdrop create a simple but effective visual that will last forever.🕊

We stopped at the boardwalk and climbed the lookout for views over the Indian Ocean.

Due to the heavy rain the Irwin River had churned and turned to a brownish pink. This had created a chocolate milkshake effect in the ocean at the river mouth.
