Bullara Station is an outback working cattle station on a 1/4 million acres, it offers bush camping with quirky amenities and rustic charm. The accommodation choices are varied with cottages, huts and a shearer’s lodge if you don’t wish to camp. The neighbouring station is 1 million acres and if they decide to drop in for a visit then that’s literally what they do – by plane. The distances here are so vast that they use small aircraft like we use taxis to visit families and friends.

Bullara Station guests enjoy a BYO Happy Hour at 5pm daily around the large communal fire-pit. You can take a chair and enjoy a coldie whilst chatting with other travellers. At the end of the night you can add a memory bottle to the Bullara Bottle Tree

For the Beer Bottle Walk, you simply follow the beer bottles out through the paddocks until you reach the Sunset Deck. This well designed, one of a kind deck sits amongst the brilliant red sand dunes.😆

The next day we headed down the 4WD track in search of tidal mud flats. Before leaving you must write your vehicle details, mobile number and estimated return time in a book located at the camp kitchen. If you do not return on time, the station manager will send out a recovery vehicle to tow you back at a cost of $750.

A glorious sunset, a camp fire and a glass of wine – truly a cracking way to end the day. Cheers🥂
