Busselton (WA)

Busselton is a holiday destination for many of Perth residents, particularly during the summer. The famous Busselton Jetty is surrounded with foreshore parks, walking paths and eateries. We enjoyed roaming the wide streets with its interesting art, sculptures and history but we also took this time to relax a little with a book or two.

The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse is located just 20 minute south of Busselton. Not as impressive as our last lighthouse but still worth a visit. After an hour of scenic walking from the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse we reached a natural granite island named Sugar Loaf Rock.

Each year I endeavour to participate in the Mother’s Day Classic Walk, so the opportunity to take part in this years event really excited me. Although Busselton is quite a large town only 11 entrants joined the walk.πŸ˜₯ I registered Dave in the walk this year and we enjoyed a sunny morning with 10kms of beach scenery. I have also come to realise just how giving and generous Victorians truly are.πŸ‘πŸ’›πŸ™

We didn’t encounter an amazing sunset during our stay here however the long (1.8km) jetty shone brightly for us instead.πŸ₯‚

  1. Really enjoying reading your posts and travelling with you vicariously. Oh and your photos are great, they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. 😎
Heard WA has had some terrible weather and strong winds, hope it has missed you, wherever you are at the moment
