Nambung Station is a working farm 2 hours north of Perth. Unfortunately, we copped rain, wind and lightning for most of our 2 night stay so it limited our activities to a few walks. However, the weather did force us to just relax, read and catch up on the odd chore (like stock counting our bottles of wine).ππ₯πΎ

We spotted some emus as we walked to the dam to see the Western Long Necked Tortoises. We also noticed many unusual melons scattered all over the ground. These are inedible weeds called Paddy Melons and can be toxic to humans.

Trying a novel way to get flys off my back by jumping up and down. And no, it didnβt work but we had a laugh trying.π
There were a few farm animals dotted around the station which were happy to walk up to meet us.

After this beautiful sunset a storm blew in and as we had little to no tv or phone reception the thunderstorm became our entertainment for the night.β‘οΈπ¨
No damage occurred from the storm just lots of rain which made driving out the next morning also entertaining.π€Ώπ₯΄
